St. Louis County, Missouri

St. Louis County has implemented new COVID-19 restrictions that go into affect on Tuesday, November 17 which require:

  • Anyone over the age of 5 to wear a mask in public.

  • Bars and restaurants to no longer offer indoor dining.

  • Businesses, gyms and religious institutions to operate at no more than 25% capacity, down from 50%.

  • All gatherings to be limited to 10 or fewer people.

St. Louis City, Missouri

Private gatherings of more than ten people are prohibited as of Saturday, November 14.

  • St. Louis Public Schools (SLPS) is closed through the semester. For SLPS parents or children in need of emotional or social support, call 314-345-6900 or studentservices@slps.org. 

    Unemployment: Individuals can apply for unemployment insurance with the Missouri Department of Labor. For FAQs on coronavirus and unemployment benefits, click here. To apply for Medicaid with MO Healthnet.

    Food: For food assistance and SNAP benefits, residents should visit the Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) website here. The DSS also has applications for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (cash benefits) here. 

    Utilities: Major utilities like Ameren (electricity), Spire (Natural gas) and American Water announced they will end service shut-offs due to nonpayment.

    Call the United Way at 1-866-211-9966 and enter your zip code to learn more about assistance with bills, rent and food.

    The State of Missouri has set up a COVID-19 hotline (877-435-8411) for residents with questions about the virus.

Kansas City, Missouri

New COVID-19 restrictions are being implemented in Kansas City starting on Friday, November 20 that include:

  • All indoor gatherings are limited to 10 people

  • All restaurants, bars, and other venues must close at 10pm and operate at 50% capacity

  • Masks must be worn in all indoor spaces and outdoor spaces where social distancing cannot be maintained

  • Patrons of gyms, fitness, and recreational centers must wear masks and are limited to 50% capacity.
