Statement from SEIU Local 1 President Genie Kastrup on Wisconsin Election Results

WISCONSIN - Wisconsin voters made their voices heard and re-elected Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul. Unfortunately, working families in Wisconsin experienced a huge loss in the U.S. Senate race with the defeat of pro-labor champion Mandela Barnes. SEIU Local 1 President releases the following statement:

“I want to congratulate Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul on their monumental victories. Together, we can build a Wisconsin that puts working families first and continue the fight for equity and justice for all workers,” said SEIU Local 1 President Genie Kastrup. “Despite some electoral losses, working people have made tremendous progress in Wisconsin, and Local 1 will keep fighting until every single worker has dignified jobs with quality healthcare, liveable wages, and a voice at the table.”
