Local 1 Indy Security Officers Win 45% Base Wage Increase in Historic Three-Year Contract

Highlights

  • Employers will provide cold weather uniforms, and equipment, and assume the cost of any state licensing fees. 

  • FIRST IN NATION Language:  Employers commit to providing relief of post to facilitate officer access to bathroom facilities. 

  • More Time Off. New holiday: Juneteenth. Expanded personal time: 1 day at 1 year, 5 days at 5 years, effective 2025. Expanded bereavement coverage.

  • Health insurance frozen at $95/month. 

  • Contract minimum rate up 45% from $13/hr to $18.80/hr by 2027.

  • $3.15/hr in annual wage increases,  $15,600 in new money over 4 years.
