Uber and Lyft drivers across Illinois are uniting to form a union of drivers, for drivers and by drivers.  Together, we are fighting for better pay, benefits we deserve and stronger protections that will improve the rideshare industry for drivers, our families and passengers alike.  

We’re joining forces with the 50,000 janitors, security officers, school service workers, airport workers, factory workers and more who make up SEIU Local 1. We will rewrite the rules to pave a new path to win the right to form a statewide Gig Workers Union. With a strong union, we can fight unfair deactivations, set living wages, and have a more powerful role in making important decisions that affect our jobs.
