TAKE DIGITAL ACTION IN SOLIDARITY WITH SEIU LOCAL 1 JANITORS!
Local 1 janitors – who are predominately eastern-European, Latino, Black and immigrant women – service the most high-profile office buildings throughout Chicago and the Suburbs including Merchandise Mart, John Hancock Building, Willis Tower, Aon Center, and the BMO Tower. Local 1 janitors service 85% of Commercial Office Buildings in Cook County and have kept the Downtown Chicago skyline clean and sparkling for over 100 years. Janitorial work has a direct impact on the health, productivity, and satisfaction of those who use commercial office space, making janitors a vital part of Chicago. The janitorial contracts impacting 8,000 Local 1 janitors who service Chicagoland is set to expire on April 8, 2024.
