HDTV Converter Voucher

On February 17, 2009, all televisions will convert to digital.  Televisions that receive signals through antennas and analog tuners will not be able to receive digital signals without a converter. If you have satellite or cable service, your television will likely not require a converter.

Congress has set aside funding for a coupon program to purchase digital converters. Converters cost between $50 and $70 and are available at most electronics stores.  To request a $40 voucher, you can apply online at www.dtv2009.gov or call 1-888-DTV-2009 (1-888-388-2009). Vouchers are limited.
