Credit Union

SEIU Local 1 is an affiliate of United Credit Union, which makes all Local 1 members eligible to join United Credit Union.  Offering services similar to banks, credit unions are not-for-profit financial institutions formed by an organized group of people who pool their assets to provide loans and other financial services to each other.  Credit unions to pay dividends to their members (rather than to shareholders) and usually offer members lower loan rates, higher savings rates and fewer service fees.
