SEIU Local 1 created the Member Programs Department to offer members of our union programs and services that take advantage of SEIU’s collective consumer strength. Just as we have used our strength at the bargaining table to win better wages and benefits, Local 1 will use that same strength to offer programs, services, information and discounts that benefit members of Local 1.

Member Rewards Program Card
Your membership in SEIU Local 1 entitles you to a vast array of discounts—from automotive to apparel to hotels and much more. Click the membership card image below to activate your card and access our discount program. You must have your membership number to log in. After you activate your card, you will receive bimonthly emails letting you know about current and popular discounts.

Union Plus
As an SEIU member or retiree, you are entitled to member-only rates, discounts and special features. Union Plus is brought to you by Union Privilege by the AFL-CIO to provide consumer benefits to union members. Scholarship Information
Local 1 members, their children and spouses are eligible for Union Plus Scholarships. In 2011, 130 students were awarded a total of $150,000. Scholarship awards ranged from $500 to $4,000.

Recreational Activities
AMC Movie Theater Tickets
Purchase AMC Theater discount tickets for $7.50 each. The tickets do not expire and can be used any time at any AMC Theater (find a location near you). You call ahead and pick up tickets at the Chicago, St. Louis and Detroit offices.
Professional, Medical and Financial Services
US Drug Plan
As a member of SEIU Local 1 you are eligible for the USA Drug Plan prescription drug discount card. The card, which can save on average 10% to 55% off brand name or generic medications, is free with no registration or activation. Just present the card at participating pharmacies nationwide such as CVS, Walgreens, Target, and more.

The discount drug card cannot be used in conjunction with your current insurance prescription program. Use the card to comparison shop and make your purchase on the least expensive option. To obtain a card, call your union representative.

Life Line Prevention Screenings
Life Line Screening offers painless, noninvasive ultrasound screenings for stroke/carotid artery, atrial fibrillation, abdominal aortic aneurysm, and peripheral arterial disease at various locations throughout the country available to SEIU Local 1 members & family at a member rate of $129.These are tests you can NOT get from your doctor unless you have symptoms, and by then many times it can be too late. Discount Dental and Vision
USA Drug Plan is offering SEIU Local 1 members and their families a discount and vision program through DentAChoice. The program utilizes the Aetna Dental Access provider network and the Outlook Vision Program which includes Pearle Vision, Lenscrafters, Sears Optical and more.

Diabetic Discount Program
The Community Assistance Program and Free US Drug Card are offering SEIU Local 1 members a diabetic testing discount of up to 50% off retail pricing. Pet Drug Card
Local 1 pet owners can receive a pet drug card by contacting your union office. The pet card, which is accepted at most pharmacies nationwide, offers discounts on most medications for pets with savings from 10% to 85% depending on the medication. Read more information on the pet medical card.
My Notification Service
My Notification Service is a personal notification service in the U.S. that notifies relatives and friends in the event of an emergency or life event. In addition to the notification service, medical information data can be on file to be forwarded to emergency rooms. Local 1 members receive a 40% subscription discount. DVD Discount on Documentary about Janitors
The “Philosopher Kings” is a documentary showcasing eight janitors who work for some of America’s top universities and colleges. This positive, thought provoking film shines a spotlight on members of society who are often disregarded and ignored and gives the viewer an opportunity to learn from those whom many people never acknowledge. One of the janitors featured, Josue Lajeunesse, is a SEIU member who works for Princeton University.
