Results of SEIU Local 1 Constitution and By-Laws Vote

The votes are in! Local 1 members in 11 cities voted on Saturday, June 5th to amend the union’s constitution and by-laws.

By a margin of 97%, Local 1 members in Chicago, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Houston voted “yes” on the proposed measure.

The changes to the constitution and by-laws will bring our governance more in line with our growing local union, which is currently spread out over 11 cities in 7 states.
