STATEMENT IN RESPONSE TO MAYOR EMANUEL’S AWARD OF O’HARE AIRPORT’S CLEANING CONTRACT

This evening’s WGN report by Mark Suppelsa raises serious doubts about Mayor Emanuel’s decision to award the O’Hare cleaning contract to United Maintenance.

In light of this report, we call on Attorney General Lisa Madigan to start an investigation into United Maintenance and this key public contract.

We call on the City of Chicago to rebid the contract and choose a responsible bidder that will protect good jobs at O’Hare airport.
